A WORLD TRAVELLING ARCHITECTURE EXHIBITION DONE WITH THE CONTRIBUTION OF POLITECNICO DI MILANO 2015 - PIACENZA ITALY
Exhibition Architects Contacts About Story MIGRANT GARDEN Migrant Garden is world traveling exhibition consisting of 40 bird nests, designed by 40 selected architects and designers from across the world. The installation will be set in the ancient Caserma della Neve in Piacenza in Via Scalabrini, an ex monastery built in 1390, transformed into a barrack and finally converted into the new Architecture and Engineer Faculty campus of Politecnico di Milano campus in 1998. The 40 models will be exhibited in the cloister , offering a plurality of perspectives, from the ground floor, where the internal garden is located,through its porches till the first floor, from which there a privileged sight of the whole exhibition is offer to the visitor. Migrant Garden aim is to promote an architectural culture attentive to issues of the environment, the landscape and the protection of cultural heritage. I wants to stimulate a coral dialog within the discipline of Architecture and Design through an exhibition of 40 manifestos of selected firms, a debate that should start in the academic places, promoting a mutual change of ideas between students and designers as an horizontal value.
